Our Intro to Improv class is the first step on our Performance Path and the best way to start your improv journey. Through our dedicated instructor-led group and scene exercises, you will unlock your creativity, get out of your head, and meet a whole new community of kind, fearless, and funny folks who are ready to join the stage with you, culminating in a showcase performance on the Faraway stage.

FYI: As a reminder, this class is on our Performance Path. It builds to a showcase and serves as a prerequisite for other classes on our Performance Path. If you're looking for a lower-commitment/lower-pressure environment with no performance component, our Joy of Improv class is what you're looking for.

This is an 8-week class on Tuesdays from 6–8 p.m., starting October 15.

The 101 Showcase, as part of Faraway's Performance Week, is Tuesday, December 10, at 6:30 p.m.

There are no class refunds available at this time. Faraway Theater is located at 1211 27th Pl S Suite 20, Birmingham, AL 35205. Parking is available in the lot and on the street. The entrance is located past the Electra film lab drop-box.
